Football Recap: Brody Hale Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Blue Valley West + How To Watch

Olathe West lost to Blue Valley West back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Owls snuck past the Jaguars with a 21-17 win. That's two games straight that the Owls have won by exactly four points.

Olathe West's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Hale, who threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Krzykowski, who picked up 85 receiving yards and one TD.

Olathe West has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 28.0 points this season. As for Blue Valley West, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olathe West will venture away from home to challenge Shawnee Mission Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Blue Valley West, they will head out to take on Bishop Miege at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
