Basketball Recap: Globe Takes a Loss

Globe extended their losing streak to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-5. They came up short against the Poston Butte Broncos, falling 68-48. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 20 points.

As for Poston Butte, the win (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games.

Poston Butte found their leader in sophomore Rexford Danso, who shot 55% from the field en route to 18 points. Danso has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Jace Kazmierczak was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Globe has already played their next matchup, a 69-56 loss against Willcox on the 29th. As for Poston Butte, they will welcome Walden Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
