Volleyball Game Preview: Grand Island Lutheran Lightning vs. Blue Hill Bobcats

The Grand Island Lutheran Lightning will head out on the road to challenge the Blue Hill Bobcats on Thursday. Grand Island Lutheran will be strutting in after a victory while Blue Hill will be coming in after a loss.

Grand Island Lutheran not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past McCool Junction 3-0.

Grand Island Lutheran not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept McCool Junction between 13 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Blue Hill came up short against Kenesaw on Saturday and fell 2-0. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19.

Grand Island Lutheran will have to contain Kenna Mcconville as she made an impact in Blue Hill's last game. She had seven digs and three aces.

Blue Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Grand Island Lutheran, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-5.

Grand Island Lutheran beat Blue Hill 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2023. Do the Lightning have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
