 It may have taken  overtime to finish the job, but the Laton Mustangs ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Wednesday. They skirted past Tranquillity  15-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory Laton has posted  yet this season.
 Leading Laton to victory were  Gabriella Alvarado and  Valerie Silva.  Alvarado  scored six points along with 13  rebounds and four  blocks, while  Silva  scored six points along with 11  rebounds and two  steals.
 The  victory  makes it two in a row for Laton and  bumps their season record up to 5-11. As for Tranquillity, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laton's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Kings Christian at 5:45  p.m.  on January 23rd. Tranquillity won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Mendota at 6:30  p.m.  on January 18th. Mendota will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
