Basketball Game Preview: Foothill Trojans vs. North Stars

Foothill is 0-10 against North since February of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Foothill Trojans will head out on the road to take on the North Stars at 6:30 p.m. Foothill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Foothill beat Del Oro 28-24.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foothill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bella Fierro, who posted eight points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Jayda Green, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.

Foothill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 19 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, North suffered their closest defeat since December 12, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of East Bakersfield by a score of 53-50. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Foothill pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.0 points per game. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Foothill might still be hurting after the 47-26 defeat they got from North in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can Foothill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
