Baseball Game Preview: Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles vs. Covenant Academy Rams

The Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles will take on the Covenant Academy Rams at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Vidalia Heritage Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Bulloch Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 5-4.

Vidalia Heritage Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Adams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Maddyx Herrin was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Covenant Academy was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They lost 11-1 to First Presbyterian Day. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Covenant Academy now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Vidalia Heritage Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Vidalia Heritage Academy took their win against Covenant Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
