Soccer Recap: Statesboro Comes Up Short

If Statesboro was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of First Presbyterian Day last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Statesboro Blue Devils fell just short of the South Effingham Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in February.

Statesboro now has a losing record of 5-6. As for South Effingham, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Coincidentally, Statesboro and South Effingham will both be playing Glynn Academy the next time they take the pitch. Statesboro will head out to face Glynn Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while South Effingham will host them at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
