Soccer Game Preview: Liberty Charter vs. Gompers Prep Academy

Liberty Charter and Gompers Prep Academy are an even 3-3-4 against one another since January of 2015, but likely not for long. The Liberty Charter Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Gompers Prep Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Liberty Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Liberty Charter's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over River Valley. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Ava Lansford and Emma Figueroa scored all three of Liberty Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Gompers Prep Academy was not quite Bayfront Charter's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Sharks by a score of 1-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty Charter's win bumped their record up to 7-4-2. As for Gompers Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1.
