Soccer Recap: Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Comes Up Short

Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Futures Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Futures this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 last Tuesday.

Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Futures, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Forest Lake Christian at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Futures, they will head out to square off against Encina at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Futures' defense better be ready for this one: Encina have averaged an impressive 3.9 goals per game this season.
