Basketball Game Preview: Armijo Royals vs. Florin Panthers

The Armijo Royals will venture away from home to face off against the Florin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Armijo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Armijo took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Valley, posting a 56-25 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Royals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Among those leading the charge was Mariza Supapo, who posted 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Laylanie Rodriguez, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, Florin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-38 heartbreaker at the hands of Johnson.

Armijo's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Florin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
