Baseball Recap: Augusta E Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Augusta E had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Savannah Athletic Association on Saturday. The Eagles blew past the Jaguars 13-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three contests in a row.

Tucker Thomas and Bryar Rhoden were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Thomas pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Rhoden pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. At the plate, Thomas went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Rhoden got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Luke Reese and Nathanael Reese did most of the damage at the plate: Luke went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Nathanael went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits Luke has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Bullard, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Augusta E kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.

Augusta E's record is now 3-1. As for Savannah Athletic Association, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Augusta E beat Savannah Athletic Association by a score of 12-1 later that day.
