While Noble's win against Deering wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rams 2-1. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Sean Sullivan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Noble saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carl Gregoire, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Noble hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deering struck out nine times.

The victory got Noble back to even at 5-5. As for Deering, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Noble is set to challenge their familiar foe Thornton Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 3.9, the Trojans 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Deering will face off against rival Windham at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
