Basketball Recap: Beyer Skates Past Livingston with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Beyer's strategy against Livingston on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Beyer Patriots blew the Livingston Wolves out of the water with a 60-30 final score. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Wolves back in January, they had to take a 59-36 loss.

It was another big night for Kylie Kulina, who went 14 for 24 on her way to 30 points along with seven boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Nevayh Gonzales-Taylor, who posted six points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, Livingston still got an impressive performance from Isabella Zazueta, who went 8 of 19 en route to 22 points. That's the most points Zazueta has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalia Castro, who scored four points and five boards.

Beyer's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Livingston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beyer will face off against Central Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Beyer is facing Central Valley at the right time seeing as Central Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Livingston, they will square off against Grace Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Grace Davis will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Livingston surely won't give up without a fight.
