Volleyball Recap: Minneapolis Comes Up Short

Minneapolis lost against Hillsboro back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lions fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Minneapolis sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-16, 16-25, 25-17.

Sierra Cossaart paced Minneapolis' offense, picking up nine kills. Cossaart got some help from Addison Abell and her 22 assists.

Minneapolis' defeat dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Hillsboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season.

Minneapolis will face off against Republic County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillsboro, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Rock Creek on the 11th.
