Softball Recap: Eagle Grove Drops Season-High Score on Northwood-Kensett

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eagle Grove). Everything went their way against the Northwood-Kensett Vikings on Saturday as they made off with a 17-4 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Eagle Grove and bumps their season record up to 7-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Northwood-Kensett, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Eagle Grove will venture away from home to take on West Bend-Mallard at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwood-Kensett, they will welcome North Butler at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
