Baseball Recap: Central Gwinnett Takes a Loss

Central Gwinnett managed to slip by Mountain View the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Central Gwinnett lost 8-0 to Mountain View on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Central Gwinnett saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jude Alderete, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Central Gwinnett's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Mountain View, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Gwinnett will face off against Collins Hill at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Central Gwinnett is facing Collins Hill at the right time seeing as Collins Hill is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mountain View, they will take on Brookwood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
