Castilleja and Lowell squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Castilleja had to settle for second. They fell 39-31 to the Lowell Cardinals. The Gators' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Castilleja lost, don't look at Antonia Vlahos. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.

Castilleja's loss dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Lowell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Castilleja does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lowell, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lowell Cardinals face off against Half Moon Bay Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Half Moon Bay comes in on three and Lowell on 11.
