Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for King's Ridge Christian

King's Ridge Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Forsyth Central Bulldogs as they made off with a 16-8 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 14-2 victory two weeks ago.

The team relied heavily on Kate Greiner, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most runs she has posted since back in August. Bella Qui?ones was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

King's Ridge Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matchups.

King's Ridge Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-6-1. As for Forsyth Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King's Ridge Christian will head out to square off against Roswell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Forsyth Central, they will square off against Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
