Soccer Game Preview: White County vs. Lumpkin County

The White County Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Lumpkin County Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. White County will be strutting in after a victory while Lumpkin County will be coming in after a loss.

White County's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over North Hall. The Warriors didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Meanwhile, Lumpkin County fell victim to Chestatee and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the War Eagles by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the War Eagles are ranked 103rd).

White County's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Lumpkin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
