Baseball Recap: Boardman Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Boardman's offense. They lost 12-0 to the GlenOak Golden Eagles on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Spartans have suffered since April 15th.

Boardman got a good showing from Collin Resetar, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Resetar has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Boardman's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for GlenOak, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Boardman will head out on the road to face off against Mayfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for GlenOak, they will welcome Brunswick at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
