Santa Ynez has gone 9-1 against Morro Bay recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Santa Ynez Pirates will take on the Morro Bay Pirates in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m.

Santa Ynez's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Mission College Prep. The win was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Ella Gotschall and Hannah Ricci scored both of Santa Ynez's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Morro Bay has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. Neither they nor Minarets could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Pirates' first draw of the season.

Santa Ynez's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. With that draw, Morro Bay's record moves to 0-4-1.

Santa Ynez took their win against Morro Bay in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 6-1. In that contest, Santa Ynez amassed a halftime lead of 4-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
