Baseball Recap: Spalding's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Spalding won the last time they faced Fayette County and things went their way on Thursday too. Spalding came out on top against Fayette County by a score of 11-7. With that victory, the Jaguars brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Amari Rivers and Tyler Ball did most of the damage at the plate: Rivers scored two runs while going 1-for-4, while Ball scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Ball has become a key player for Spalding: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dashan Gilbert, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Spalding's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Fayette County, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
