Baseball Game Preview: Ware County Gators vs. Wayne County Yellow Jackets

The Ware County Gators will face off against the Wayne County Yellow Jackets on Monday.

Ware County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Benedictine on Friday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cadets.

11 must be Wayne County's lucky number: they beat Warner Robins with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Wayne County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-12. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Ware County, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9.
