Basketball Recap: Westview's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Westview entered their tilt with Rancho Bernardo on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Rancho Bernardo Broncos by a score of 45-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Westview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maren Zimmer, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds. What's more, Zimmer also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sarah Heyn, who posted eight points along with nine boards and six assists.

Despite the loss, Rancho Bernardo still got an impressive performance from Lindsay Biddle, who put up 20 points. Reese Tokushige was another key player, putting up nine points.

Westview pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Rancho Bernardo, they moved to 18-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Westview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-56 defeat against JSerra Catholic on the 25th. As for Rancho Bernardo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-37 win against Del Norte on the 28th.
