Basketball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pflugerville Connally on Tuesday, Elgin came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the East View Patriots by a score of 29-27 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since November 23, 2024.

Elgin dropped their record down to 11-23 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for East View, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-23.

Elgin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East View, they will head out to challenge Hendrickson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
