Baseball Game Preview: Chapel Hill Panthers vs. Douglas County Tigers

Chapel Hill is a perfect 10-0 against Douglas County since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Chapel Hill Panthers challenge Douglas County Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

Chapel Hill is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Douglas County on Wednesday as Chapel Hill made off with a 19-3 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.

Jason Harrell made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Harrell was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, Phillip Ackerman was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Six bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Chapel Hill: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Austin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Chapel Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
