Softball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Hillsboro hit Jefferson with a 13-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Jays lost 17-1 to the Hawks. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Jays in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost nine in a row.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Hillsboro, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Jefferson will square off against Saxony Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hillsboro, they will take on Cor Jesu Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
