Softball Recap: Charlton County Indians vs. Ware County Gators
Charlton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the Ware County Gators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-10 on Thursday.
Ella Privett and Kennedy Taylor stepped up to the plate in a big way. Privett went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Taylor went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Callie Carter, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.
Charlton County now has a losing record of 12-13-1. As for Ware County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-18.
Coming up, Charlton County will venture away from home to take on Camden County at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ware County, they will welcome Coffee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Gators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
