After soaring to seven goals the game before, Jeff Davis was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Toombs County Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Yellowjackets couldn't quite close it out.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jeff Davis fell to 2-1. As for Toombs County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Looking ahead, Jeff Davis will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Fitzgerald at 7:00 p.m. As for Toombs County, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against East Laurens on the 20th.
