Football Recap: Crimson Cliffs Beats Snow Canyon for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Crimson Cliffs extended their winning streak to six on Monday, bumping them up to 6-1. They came out on top against the Snow Canyon Warriors by a score of 28-21. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Briton Phillips was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 122 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanoai Andresen, who threw for 177 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes.

Crimson Cliffs' run defense was locked in: Snow Canyon could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Diedrick Moore for the heroic effort on defense: he. Crimson Cliffs' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.5.

Crimson Cliffs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Benson Hofhine and Lincoln Langston. Langston also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

As for Snow Canyon, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. Despite 73 more yards than Crimson Cliffs, the Warriors couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the loss, Snow Canyon still got an impressive performance from Parker Olson, who threw for 297 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 40 yards.

Crimson Cliffs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 35-7 win against Dixie on the 3rd. As for Snow Canyon, they have also already played their next game, a 38-24 defeat against Hurricane on the 3rd.
