Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnson County Central). They blew past the Omaha Christian Guardians 56-24 on Friday. With the Thunderbirds ahead 56-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson County Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Regan Campbell Thies, who threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Another player making a difference was A.J. Rautenbach, who picked up 69 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Danny Kongmanyvong, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
