Softball Recap: Sonoraville Drops Highest Score of Season Against Central

Sonoraville scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Central Lions by a score of 8-7. The Phoenix have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Ellie Wofford made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Marley Hall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.

Sonoraville's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Central, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Sonoraville will face off against Bremen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Central, they will take on Villa Rica at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.9, the Wildcats 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
