Football Game Preview: John Marshall Rockets vs. Mayo Spartans

John Marshall is 1-9 against Mayo since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rockets will venture away from home to take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, John Marshall lost to Owatonna on the road by a 25-7 margin. The matchup marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mayo entered their tilt with Century on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Panthers 50-15. The contest marked the Spartans' most dominant victory of the season.

John Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mayo, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

John Marshall was dealt a bruising 52-0 loss at the hands of Mayo in their previous meeting back in September of 2022. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
