Baseball Recap: Dunlap Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Dunlap had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Tristan Pittenger looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Dunlap kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April.

Dunlap's victory bumped their record up to 30-7. As for Joliet Catholic, they moved to 20-15 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Dunlap nor the Hilltoppers have any future games scheduled.
