Baseball Recap: Deerfield Comes Up Short

Deerfield and Lakes pushed the score to 12-7 the last time they played Lakes, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Warriors fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2021.

Deerfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.

While Deerfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
