Football Game Preview: Horton Chargers vs. Centralia Panthers

The Horton Chargers will head out on the road to challenge the Centralia Panthers on Friday. Horton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with six straight defeats, while Centralia will come in with three straight victories.

Horton's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] on Friday. They were beaten by the Cyclones 51-0.

Meanwhile, while Centralia put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy. The Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Ravens 42-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by 30 points or more so far this season.

Horton's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Centralia, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Horton was taken down by Centralia 46-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
