Football Game Preview: Hanover Park Hornets vs. Parsippany Redhawks

Hanover Park has gone a perfect 3-0 against Parsippany recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hornets will venture away from home to face off against the Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hanover Park has four straight victories, Parsippany has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Hanover Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over Glen Ridge. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Hornets with their most commanding win of the season.

Jack Kovacs continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 149 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 85 yards and one touchdown. Those 149 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Dante Rosato helped out on the ground, rushing for 100 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hanover Park was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Parsippany fell victim to High Point and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Wildcats, falling 43-0.

Hanover Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Parsippany, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Hanover Park against Parsippany when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 52-6 win. In that matchup, the Hornets amassed a halftime lead of 38-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
