Recap: Mira Monte Lions vs. Foothill Trojans
The Mira Monte Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 14th straight defeat. They were beaten by Foothill 60-19. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mira Monte of the 63-19 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Foothill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayda Green, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Tiara Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six steals and five assists.
Mira Monte dropped their record down to 2-17 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.4 points per game. As for Foothill, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-15 record this season.
Mira Monte does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Foothill also has no future games currently scheduled.
