Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Esparto turned things around against Elite on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 34-23. That 11 point margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.

Meanwhile, Delta hadn't done well against Fortune Early College recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Delta walked away with a 48-35 victory over Fortune Early College. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saints.

Delta's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.8 points per game. As for Esparto, their victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11.
