Volleyball Recap: Centennial Bulldogs vs. Palo Verde Panthers
Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Palo Verde Panthers. Despite the loss, Centennial still got an impressive performance from Kiersten Cummings, who had nine digs and four aces. Cummings is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Even though they lost, Centennial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Palo Verde, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.
Centennial will square off against Desert Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Oasis is coming into the matchup with five straight defeats on the road, meaning Centennial will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Palo Verde, they will face off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palo Verde is facing Liberty at the right time seeing as Liberty is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
