Recap: Peddie Falcons vs. Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers

The Peddie Falcons are ranked highly in their home state, and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers. Peddie was dealt a 61-26 loss at the hands of Georgetown Day. Peddie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Georgetown Day's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nevaeh Roberson, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Roberson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amira Comissiong, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Peddie bumped their record down to 1-2 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.0 points per game. As for Georgetown Day, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Peddie will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Episcopal at 11:00 a.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Episcopal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Friday. Georgetown Day won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Freedom at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th. Freedom is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
