Baseball Recap: Heritage Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Heritage won against Grovetown last Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 7-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-1 last Tuesday.

Ryland Holden was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Lynch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Holden wasn't the only one making solid contact: Heritage kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Patriots are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Heritage's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-11. As for Grovetown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-15.

Heritage will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
