Soccer Game Preview: Gustine vs. Delhi

The Gustine Reds will head out on the road to take on the Delhi Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gustine will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, everything went Gustine's way against Waterford as Gustine made off with a 5-1 victory. Considering the Reds have won four contests by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Delhi was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Stone Ridge Christian, falling 4-0. Considering the last time the Hawks couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Gustine pushed their record up to 8-3-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those four matches. As for Delhi, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Gustine beat Delhi 2-0 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gustine since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
