Softball Recap: Peachtree Ridge Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lanier

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Peachtree Ridge). They never let the Lanier Longhorns get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Wednesday. The Lions not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28, 2024 (when they won 19-4).

The win made it two in a row for Peachtree Ridge and bumps their season record up to 7-16. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Lanier, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Peachtree Ridge will challenge Parkview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.86 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lanier, they will venture away from home to face off against Chattahoochee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.6 runs per game on average), something the Longhorns will no doubt try to take advantage of.
