Dinuba came tearing into Saturday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 71-29 victory over the Selma Bears. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-15.

Dinuba was led to victory by Jalissa Espirito and Samantha Gonzalez. Espirito posted 22 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals, while Gonzalez went 6-for-11 on her way to 17 points along with seven steals and six assists. Those 17 points gave Gonzalez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kathryne Forbes, who made all 5 shots she took racking up 11 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Dinuba smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Selma had strong showings from Avnique Gill, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points and six rebounds, and Daviana Chavez, who scored eight points and three steals. Chavez has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.

Dinuba's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games. As for Selma, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Dinuba has already played their next contest, a 55-35 victory against Mission Oak on the 11th. As for Selma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-43 win against Kingsburg on the 11th.
