Soccer Recap: Layton Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Layton was not quite Farmington's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 2-1. Layton were not able to make up for their defeat to Farmington from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Layton's goal came courtesy of Joseph Rudolphi, who's now up to six this season.

Layton's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Farmington, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Layton and Farmington will both be playing Weber the next time they take the pitch. The Lancers will host the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Phoenix will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
