Softball Game Preview: Coffee Trojans vs. Lee County Trojans + How To Watch

For the second straight game, Coffee will face off against Lee County. Coffee will be playing in front of their home fans against Lee County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coffee will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Coffee barely beat Lee County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Coffee was the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over Lee County on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Coffee, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ella Winters and Kanlee Douglas did most of the damage at the plate: Winters got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Douglas went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave Douglas a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Karlee Thomas, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Coffee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive games.

Lee County moved to 14-8-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Coffee, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.
