Soccer Recap: New West Charter Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, New West Charter finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Cleveland Cavaliers, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Eagles couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

New West Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Cleveland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New West Charter will host Aspire Ollin at 3:00 p.m. on February 21st. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (New West Charter has won six straight at home, while Aspire Ollin won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Cleveland, they will welcome Roosevelt at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roosevelt is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
