            CrossPointe Christian Academy is 0-3 against Lafayette Christian since March of 2019 but things could change  on Monday. The Cavaliers will host the Cougars  at 4:30  p.m. CrossPointe Christian Academy will be strutting in after a  win while Lafayette Christian will be coming in after a  defeat.
On Thursday, CrossPointe Christian Academy beat New Creation Christian Academy 11-7. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Cavaliers.
 Gaines Casey made a big impact no matter where he played. He  struck out nine batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Those  nine  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate,  going 4-for-5 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. CrossPointe Christian Academy is 7-1 when  Casey posts two or  more  runs, but 1-4 otherwise.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Harrison Wilkes, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Banks Casey, who  went 1-for-5 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Meanwhile, Lafayette Christian fell victim to Creekside Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They fell just short of Creekside Christian Academy by a score of  1-0. Lafayette Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Lafayette Christian's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for CrossPointe Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
 CrossPointe Christian Academy might still be hurting after the  16-9 defeat they got from Lafayette Christian  when the teams last played  back in February.
