After only 13 points in their last contest, Volcano Vista made sure to put some points up on the board against Cibola on Saturday. The Hawks claimed a resounding 35-7 victory over the Cougars. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Volcano Vista didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jude Herrera and Aziah Gonzales. Herrera also made eight total tackles, which is notable because Volcano Vista is 6-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

Volcano Vista's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Cibola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
